Hi Julian, As we all want to save power (save the earth, polution etc etc.) I use these already for years now. Of course I use the 230V 50Hz AC dutch version with double the tension in the contacts :-)

Awesome find! Good job you warned us or I would be looking for a new keyboard and monitor. I read two pages of reviews and then I have bookmarked it so I can read the rest of the 62 when I need a laugh.
ReplyDeleteDefinately for those who "have it all" and money is no object. How dare they build a better mousetrap....this is marketing at its very best!
ReplyDeleteIn 1998 I went to a HiFi fair in a local hotel. One CD system sounded fantastic, it should it cost about £6000 at the time. A company had a special mains filter, a big heavy box on the floor with a captive lead and a 13A socket. The HiFi could be powered from the normal wall socket or via the filter. It sounded fabulous direct to the wall socket and significantly better when filtered.
ReplyDeleteAt the time I had 35years professional engineering experience and I got them to do blind switching so I didn't know which was in use. I could still tell when the filter was in use from the improvement. A mains filter cannot make that much difference my experience shouted at me. So I can only assume they were secretly injecting some noise into the mains to show the filter making an improvement.
The filter cost £395 in 1998. On the demos given it sounded a worthwhile purchase especially if you had a decent system and not some Dansette.
