I think the K3 with per-mode audio equalization (or even not-datamodes equalization), properly implemented memories and an FM Packet mode would hands-down beat anything.<br /><br />The TS-2000 has a feature set that really best fits my requirements, though it's quite an old design and its receiver on HF isn't rated very highly. (Having said that, I used one and it seemed OK to me, and it has really nice audio.)<br /><br />The IC-746PRO/IC-7400 would be the other option. But if I went that way I might be inclined to wait for the new IC-9100 to see what that offers.<br /><br />If money were no object then I'd probably go for the IC-7600 and keep my transverter.
