Though I would expect the computer to limit the current and display an error. So I would remove the connection from the +5V and it shouldn't heat up, then check the current. It should only draw a few mA, enough to illuminate the transmit LED.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11984840704237681015noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-953397841255562532.post-88541998201730099102010-10-16T16:46:09.243+01:002010-10-16T16:46:09.243+01:00Hello Julian, well did have something similair. But I just stopped to take a deep breath. Will look at it next week...I guess you just need to have a little patience or try it over and over again till you manage to program the chip yourself. 73, BasPE4BAS, Bashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12958141238330445285noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-953397841255562532.post-86422991934895743112010-10-16T15:10:45.029+01:002010-10-16T15:10:45.029+01:00Hello Julian, this stuff is beyond my comprehensio...Hello Julian, this stuff is beyond my comprehension, so I can't help you. Fortunately someone I knew had an EPROM blower and was able to wipe and reprogram it.Steve GW7AAVhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16401775686818128774noreply@blogger.com
